ANNETTE LOPEZ, ESQ.

Annette Lopez is a distinguished real estate and business attorney and title agent. With nearly 2 decades of experience, she is a trusted adviser in real estate and business law, representing buyers, seller, developers, landowners, business owners, and lenders. She also serves as outside general counsel, advising clients in their ongoing daily business affairs.

 

She’s been recognized by her peers for her outstanding work and commitment to the spirit of the legal profession, being ranked by Florida Trend as a Legal Elite and as a Super Lawyer in her field ever year since 2010.  Annette Lopez graduated cum laude from Boston College, and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and served as an associate editor in the university’s law review. Prior to opening the Law Offices of Annette Lopez, P.A.,  Ms. Lopez started her legal career as a property rights litigation attorney defending home owners’ property rights while working with Brigham Moore LLP, and then worked as a real estate attorney at Gunster, Yoakley, & Stewart, P.A.  Ms. Lopez is active in a number of professional organizations including Commercial Women in Real Estate, Urban Land Institute, Latin Builders Association, Leadership Miami, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Cuban-American Bar Association.

Besides practicing law, she shares her extensive knowledge with the legal community through writing and speaking. She’s written for publications including the South Florida Legal Guide, the American Legal Institute – American Bar Association, the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review, and Proyecto Magazine. Her previous speaking engagements include the Florida Bar Conference and the American Bar Association Eminent Domain Conference.
