Annette Lopez

Attorney Annette Lopez holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and received her Doctor of Law from the University of Miami School of Law. Prior to opening the Law Offices of Annette Lopez, P.A. in August 2013, Ms. Lopez was an attorney at Gunster, Yoakley, & Stewart, P.A. and she started her legal career defending home owners’ property rights while working with Brigham Moore LLP. Ms. Lopez is active in a number of professional organizations including Commercial Women in Real Estate, Urban Land Institute, Latin Builders Association, Leadership Miami, 85 Broads, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Cuban-American Bar Association.

Besides practicing law, she shares her extensive knowledge with the legal community through writing and speaking. She’s written for several publications including the South Florida Legal Guide, the American Legal Institute – American Bar Association, the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review, and Proyecto Magazine. Her previous speaking engagements include the Florida Bar Conference and the American Bar Association Eminent Domain Conference.

Ms. Lopez feels strongly about contributing to the community and currently sits as Board Chair of The Barnyard, a Coconut Grove non-profit which assists under-served children. She’s co-founder of the fundraiser Fashionably Conscious, sits on Chapman Partnership’s nextgen board, and is a loyal supporter of numerous South Florida non-profit art institutions including the New World Symphony, Locust Projects, Cannoball, and the Perez Art Museum of Miami.
